Monday Meditation: Balancing the Solar Plexus Chakra

Monday Meditation003Welcome to another Monday! It’s cloudy and humid in London today, but nicely warm too.

Here is the third meditation on this series about balancing the Chakras, the 7 centres of energy located alongside our spine.

Energy flows through and from those centres and therefore when they are blocked we feel anxious, sad or sometimes even ill. Each chakra corresponds to specific areas of our physical bodies, related emotional issues, and represents specific archetypes.

Today’s meditation uses Tibetan singing bowls to balance the Solar plexus Chakra, the energy centre located between the navel and the base of the sternum. This Chakra is represented by the colour yellow and a lotus flower with ten petals.

This chakra is the centre of personal strength, learning and comprehension. It guides you through life by creating a strong sense of self, setting personal boundaries and building self-esteem and willpower. This is the chakra that holds the warrior energy and the power of transformation. On a physical level, it governs digestion and metabolism.

A balanced Solar Plexus Chakra means a healthy self-esteem, respect for others, confidence and initiative.

The following short meditation will help you balance your Solar Plexus Chakra:

Hope you enjoy the meditation!

Have a great first day of the week!
